Hotel Description
Willy’s Boracay Beach
Resort
One
of the pioneer beach resort hotels in the tourist island of Boracay is Willy’s
Boracay Beach Resort. The place was founded and started operations in 1975.
Thus, it is just logical to say that Willy’s Boracay Resort has seen it all
coming to Boracay, from development, to tourism boom to the current
commercialization. Not to worry about the overall feel and design of the hotel
resort. Facilities and rooms have all been renovated to adjust to changing needs
and preferences of the clientele.
The
site is at the northern area of the island, near the Boat Station 1. Willy’s
Boracay is strategically located in an area where there is easy and convenient
access to the island’s main road where all bars and establishments are present.
Across the resort could be found the historic landmark of Willy’s Rock. Thus,
you could never get lost when you attempt to search for Willy’s Boracay.
Accommodations wise, the Mediterranean style villa has 36 modernized rooms that
are all air conditioned. The spacious rooms are attractively appointed with
comfortable cool breezy colors that also facilitate privacy. The intimate style
of management and accommodation makes guests truly at home.
Amenities and basic and are standard in a world-class hotel. All rooms have
terraces or verandas where the beauty of the beach could always be appreciated.
There are hot and cold baths, cable television sets and telephone lines with
domestic and international calling capacities.
There
is a distinct multi-purpose hall equipped with corporate facilities like
audio-visual machines, fax and other office tools. Conferences, conventions and
even social gatherings like weddings and family celebrations can be facilitated
in the fully air-conditioned hall. About 150 to 180 people could fit in the hall
in one time.
Concierge services include photo processing, all-day security and guaranteed
power supply, and currency exchange. Add-on services include spa and massage
reservations, medical assistance and laundry and pressing services. The
reception also assists in hotel, boat and flight confirmations, reservations and
bookings.
Foods and beverages are
served through the beach resort’s in-house Becca’s Café and Restaurant. The bar
and restaurant includes in its menu European, Asian and international
delicacies. Sumptuous meals can be within the limits of your budget, if you
prefer. Danzka Bar is also in-house, like Becca’s, facing the beach. The bar is
where refreshing beverages like cocktail and fruit shakes can be ordered and
enjoyed. Sunset viewing is timed at ‘happy hours’.

By Plane via CATICLAN
The fastest way to Boracay is to fly Manila- Caticlan Airport on Panay Island. Airlines like SEAIR, ZEST AIRWAYS, CEBU PACIFIC, AIR PHILIPPINES and PHILIPPNE AIRLINES flies to Caticlan daily. Flight time Manila – Caticlan ranges from 35- 50 minutes.
Once you get to Caticlan, you need to take a ferry or banca to reach the island. Because Caticlan is very near the port, it will only take about ten minutes to get there.
By Plane via KALIBO
PHILIPPINE AIRLINES and CEBU PACIFIC also fly to Kalibo, which is 1 ½ hours bus from Caticlan. Flight time Manila- Kalibo takes 50 minutes. From Cebu City, the fight takes about the same
If you booked the flight to Kalibo you will have to take a bus ride (about 90 minutes to a couple of hours), to get to Caticlan and the port. In any event, once at the port, the ferry or banca ride will take about twenty minutes.
By Ferry ( Manila- Caticlan)
For those who are on a budget travel, you can take the ferry boat from Manila to Dumaguit. Dumaguit is situated on the northern side of Panay.
First you have to drive to North Harbor in Manila where the ferries to Dumaguit are stationed. Once you arrive at Dumaguit you have to go to Caticlan. This can be done either by bus, or if you like, the jeepney.
Another way to get to Boracay from Manila is to take the following route: first you take a bus ride going from Manila all the way to Batangas. From there you will board the ferry that transports you to Tablas in Romblon. From the port of Odiongan, you can take a jeepney to another port (either Santa Fe or Looc) and get a banca to Boracay Island. |
