Hotel Description

Microtel Boracay Beach Resort

Popular US-based hotel chain Microtel Inn & Suites upholds its belief that vacationers and guests do not need to spend so much just to get good services and hotel accommodations. That is why when Philippine-based hotel developer Diniwid Beach Hotel Corporation bought the franchise to establish and operate Microtel in the white-sand island of Boracay, Microtel immediately nodded. In November 2006, Microtel Boracay Resort started providing beach vacationers and tourists the services and amenities they deserve.

There is just too many hotels and resorts operating in Boracay, but guests certainly could not set aside the enticement and credibility held by the Microtel name. The beachfront location at the northern area of the island, near Boat Station 1, makes for a strategic location. Thus, guests can easily access the hotel premises and go to bars and recreational sites at both stations 1 and 2. The site is also a little father from the source of noise coming from clubs and from the hordes of party animals, especially at night.

Accommodations are of course, outstanding. All 51 available rooms are exquisitely and finely designed. The rooms are scattered across a two-storey hotel building. Double bed and suite accommodations are rolled out. Interiors and contemporary and are ideal for getaways. Suite rooms are practical and are recommended for large groups of vacationers or for families. All rooms come with free breakfasts, as is the usual norm to almost all Microtel hotels around the world.

The amenities simply make Microtel Boracay Resort rooms more attractive. As a standard and world-class hotel facility, Microtel provides posh bathrooms with hot and cold shower, cable television, Internet-ready ports and chiropractic beds that are very soft to sleep at. The telephone line facilitates local and offshore calls. There are also built-in desk furniture, fire safety system and window seating fixtures. The hotel resort is practically one of the few in Boracay that offers especially and specifically accessible rooms for disabled guests. Baby cribs can be provided upon request.

The lobby has a cordial and friendly atmosphere. The spacious lounge greets visitors, adjacent to a small restaurant, overlooking an outdoor kidney-shaped swimming pool. Balconies and pocket gardens adorn some of the special and specified guestrooms.

Palmaria Restaurant is the in-house fine-dining restaurant where guests can enjoy sumptuous and appetizing meals. The menu is just great and is full of delicacies and dishes that are contemporary, traditional and sophisticated. Refreshing beverages and cocktails are also served to complement the good food. There are smoking and non-smoking areas within the restaurant, so you could choose where to sit at.

How to get there:

By Plane via CATICLAN

The fastest way to Boracay is to fly Manila- Caticlan Airport on Panay Island. Airlines like SEAIR, ZEST AIRWAYS, CEBU PACIFIC, AIR PHILIPPINES and PHILIPPNE AIRLINES flies to Caticlan daily. Flight time Manila – Caticlan ranges from 35- 50 minutes.

Once you get to Caticlan, you need to take a ferry or banca to reach the island. Because Caticlan is very near the port, it will only take about ten minutes to get there.

By Plane via KALIBO
PHILIPPINE AIRLINES and CEBU PACIFIC also fly to Kalibo, which is 1 ½ hours bus from Caticlan. Flight time Manila- Kalibo takes 50 minutes. From Cebu City, the fight takes about the same
If you booked the flight to Kalibo you will have to take a bus ride (about 90 minutes to a couple of hours), to get to Caticlan and the port. In any event, once at the port, the ferry or banca ride will take about twenty minutes.

By Ferry ( Manila- Caticlan)
For those who are on a budget travel, you can take the ferry boat from Manila to Dumaguit. Dumaguit is situated on the northern side of Panay.
First you have to drive to North Harbor in Manila where the ferries to Dumaguit are stationed. Once you arrive at Dumaguit you have to go to Caticlan. This can be done either by bus, or if you like, the jeepney.

Another way to get to Boracay from Manila is to take the following route: first you take a bus ride going from Manila all the way to Batangas. From there you will board the ferry that transports you to Tablas in Romblon. From the port of Odiongan, you can take a jeepney to another port (either Santa Fe or Looc) and get a banca to Boracay Island.
