Who Are We?

owned and operated by Mary Jane P Bangga and Rick St. John, a husband and wife
team who since 2005 have been dedicated to Boracay Philippines Travel.
Mary Jane P Bangga is Aklanon, she was born and raised in Aklan, and knows
the province's, people and culture. In particular Mary Jane Bangga with her
husband have spent considerable time on Boracay Island building personal long
term relationships with resort and hotel owners and managers. This is far
different than what most Philippine Travel Agencies offer, as with most, very
few, if any of there travel agents have been to Boracay or any of the
surrounding islands.
Each year we take all of our travel agents and in-house website designers to
Boracay and other locations, so they to can have the experience, it's this
personal experience that allows them to better assist you during your travel to

Philippines Tourism:
MANILA,
Philippines- Foreign tourist arrivals in the first quarter of the year rose
marginally from a year earlier, still led by visitors from South Korea, the
Department of Tourism said Tuesday.
In a
statement, the DOT said foreign tourist arrivals rose 8.5 percent to 858,244 in
the first three months of 2008 from 790,888 visitors in the same period last
year.
The agency
said that for the period in review, the most number of foreign visitors came in
during January (293,803) while the month of February registered the highest
growth of 11.7 percent. The tourism agency said the Korean market still the top
markets as it contributed the biggest arrivals of 175,147 during the first three
months of the year.
The Korean
market had a 20.4-percent share of total inbound traffic and registered a growth
of 2 percent compared to 171,716 in 2007.
Visitors
from the United States constituted the second biggest arrivals with 166,128, or
19.4 percent of total visitor volume. This market grew by 6.3 percent compared
to its contribution of 156,226 a year ago.
The
Japanese market came third with 99,453 or about 11.6 percent of the total
inbound traffic. The Japanese market recorded a decline of 4 percent versus its
corresponding arrivals of 103,589 for the same period in 2007.
Other top
tourism market during the period were China with 48,619 visitors; Taiwan, 31,441
visitors; Hong Kong with 31,344 arrivals; Australia with 30,936 arrivals; Canada
with 29,525 arrivals; United Kingdom with 23,863 arrivals and Singapore with
23,761 arrivals. -

The festival commemorates the 13th century buying of land in Panay from its inhabitants, the Ati or Aeta, by the Datus of Borneo. To celebrate this event, a feast is organized and the merrymakers, in ort to resemble the Ati, cover their faces in soot. The feast of the Infant Jesus is also associated with more pagan festivals.
